window_pitch_alum_potCaving the hidden earth! Stalagmites, stalactites, gour pools and fossils are all found among ancient phreatic, fossil and stream passages; these are just some of the amazing sights to be found underground in the Limestone areas of the UK and world-wide.

To journey into this hidden world you could be walking, stooping, crawling, abseiling, climbing waterfalls and ascending climbs.

Equipped with warm clothing, an oversuit, helmet and a lamp it is possible to explore this fascinating environment.

If you wish to go deeper you can learn the skills of abseiling and ascending a rope to reach the depths of our ancient caves.

Ascent Training run caving courses for all abilities, with introductory courses for complete novices, for those with some experience Single Rope Technique (SRT) training courses and for more experienced cavers courses in rigging and self rescue.
