The information below is from the Apex Training site there is however far for information to be found on that site.

Extract from www.mltuk.org. "The mountains of the UK are remote, technical and exposed to harsh and unpredictable weather. This makes them a hazardous place for novice walkers and the ML is designed to help responsible leaders who wish to operate in mountainous terrain in summer conditions. ML courses develop your group management skills, the ability to navigate in all conditions, the ability to deal with mountain hazards (including steep ground) and increase your awareness of environmental issues. There is an expedition element to the scheme."

Mountain Leader refresher courses

Apex Training run Mountain Leader refresher courses for potential Mountain Leaders. These courses are not advertised in our calendar as we find it easier to deal with the client directly and programme a course for their needs at a time which best suits. We will happily run courses in North Wales, the Lakes or Scotland; wherever you are likely to be conducting your assessment or easier for yourself.

Please contact us for details and prices.
