11. Fitness level required for courses? |

The level of fitness you require very much depends upon the course you book on.
For example you would not have to be incredibly fit for a two day "Moving Out" course. However you should be able to climb comfortably indoors and feel you could spend two full days climbing outdoors. On the other hand someone booking on a five day winter course should be very fit. You should expect to climb/walk to the summit of 1000 metre peaks for five days, possibly in poor weather conditions.
Caving courses are demanding in their nature. SRT courses are physical
and students should bear in mind that they should be able to pull up their own
weight. Technical advances in equipment have, however, made this a lot
easier.
