Intro to scrambling (2 days)

For those of you out there that have a passion for being in the mountains, reaching their lofty summits via the walking trade routes, but have wondered what it would be like to reach the summit via that narrow ridge or craggy buttress this is the course for you.

Based in the Lake District we will ascend and descend some of the classic ridges and take you off the beaten track. On day one we will lead you up a classic ridge explaining the decisions we are making. On day two the aim is for you to do more of the leading and decision making with your instructor there for guidance.

Your instructor will hold the MIA or MIC award and the staff/client ratio will not exceed 1:4 on grade 2 scrambles and 1:2 on grade 3 scrambles. Therefore allowing each student to fulfil their aims.

Cost £160 person (includes instruction and all technical equipment but not food and accommodation).  Please contact us for accommodation options.
