The Lake District - a paradise for the outdoor enthusiast.
The National Trust owns and manages three campsites in three of the most stunning locations in the UK. Each with its own individual character, the sites' backdrops include England's highest mountain, England's largest lake and England's deepest lake.
Our campsites provide the perfect base for activities such as walking, rock climbing, mountain biking, canoeing, sailing and fishing straight from your 'doorstep'.
Winter mountain enthusiasts can also make the most of year-round opening at both Great Langdale and Wasdale campsites.
The sites are managed by committed staff who place utmost importance in providing a great camping experience for all their guests, whether individuals, couples, families or groups with an accountable leader. All three sites welcome both tents and camper vans.
No Tent? Then, find out more about our Holme Wood Bothy, situated on the shore of beautiful Loweswater, which is also ideally based for all kinds of outdoor pursuits.
