During the two days we will look at the essential skills needed to safely travel around the hills in winter. This will include the use of crampons and an axe, walking skills, snow awareness and navigation.
Staff running the course will be highly qualified and experienced in winter skills and the student to staff ration will not exceed 1:4.
The course is based at Holly How YHA in Coniston. It is a perfect location to walk into the Coniston Fells and travelling to Langdale is also very easy.

The cost of the course is £215. This includes food (from Saturday morning) and accommodation (Friday and Saturday evening) at Holly How YHA in Coniston.
