The last scrambling course was very successful and more are programmed for next year. Ascent Training and Paul Platt have an article in Cumbria magazine about scrambling and in particular scrambling enchainments. We always try to link scrambles on our courses working our way up the mountains.

For many the transition from seconding or leading on a climbing wall to leading on natural protection is daunting. Our aim is to make that transition as fun, safe and inspiring as it should be. Our staff are all exremely passionate, experienced and very well qualified to undertake this task.

Ascent Training gain ROAM status |

In June, Ascent Training, was assessed and passed for ROAM. This is Cumbria Tourist Boards guarantee that we offer safe activities and experiences of the highest quality.

Both an ML training and assessment course are running during the week 17th - 22nd July 2007 and there are a few spaces available on both.Ascent Training are not the providers of this course, however Paul Platt will be directing one of the courses. Please contact us for more details.

We have a number of rock courses throughout the year for those new to the sport and more experienceed climbers looking to broaden their skills.
Private guiding/instruction is also available. If there is a rock climb you have always wanted to do or would prefer instruction for you and your climbing partner.
