Paul returns from Ice Climbing in Cogne |

Paul has just returned from a weeks ice climbing in Cogne. Though this year is not the best for ice climbing so far, Ascent Training's Director Paul Platt did some good research and found probably the best ice in Europe.
The weather was fantastic all week and there was plenty of ice to be found. For those going to the area the Hotel La Balme in Valnontey is a great place to stay, the foods great and there are many routes possible from the doorstep (though 40 minutes is about the minimum walk in).
For those of you wishing for good ice and shorter walk ins then Norway is the place to go and conditions are improving quickly. There are still places on our Rjukan Ice Climbing Course this February.
